Since the release of the first part, we knew that the antagonist would die. At least Ekta Kapoor has a better sense of twists and turns even though they are illogical.īhalladeva’s death, shoddy story line, weird songs are just a few of the disappointing moments of the film. Honestly, if this was the reason Kattappa killed Baahubali, I’d rather watch ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’. Well, as far as we are concerned, all we can say is Kattappa was a moron. But, the logic behind this can be predicted even by a five-year-old who watched Balaji’s serials. The answer had been haunting people for a few years and now it’s finally out. Or maybe with time she got Alzheimer’s! And finally why did Kattappa kill Baahubali? Maybe she wasn't as smart as we thought she was. But in ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, she fails to see the conspiracy of her own son and husband and falls into the trap. When there was no male to run the Mahishmati Empire, she singlehandedly ruled the kingdom and expanded it beyond anyone’s imagination.

It is a well-established fact that Rajmata Sivagami (played by Ramya Krishnan) is a smart ass woman. Sorry Rajmata you were not as smart as we thought: Devasena chooses Baahubali and *boom* the conspiracy, drama, and bloodshed begins. Let’s assume Amarendra Baahubali (let’s say Arjuna) and Bhallala Dev (let’s say Duryodhana) both want Devasena (Draupadi). The power, the jealousy, the conspiracy and the war are all linked to Devasena. Even though ‘Baahubali 2’ isn't exactly like Mahabharata, it is inspired by it. Every war that was ever fought, a female was the real prime cause of all the trouble. And it's all about a girlįrom Ramayana to Mahabharata, a female has been the root cause of every issue. Tremendous cast- check, Extraordinary acting by Prabas and Rana Daggupati- check, Grand sets- check, Good VFX- check, Magnificent cinematography- check, Plot- Error……could not find file. Sometimes even when the chef has the best ingredients, his desire to make something exceptional ruins the dish. Around 140 minutes of the film is filled with everything that one wouldn't want to see and the remaining 47 minutes try to make up for the mumbo jumbo. The basic issue with the film is its timing, maybe if it was more precise it wouldn't have bored us to this extent. The film made an unforgettable legacy for itself the impact was so huge that people couldn't wait for the next part. The Baahubali Legacy comes to an endĭirector SS Rajamouli made a mark in the Indian film industry when he created something as colossal as ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’. You are introduced to Devasena (Anushka Shetty) and of course you get to know why Kattappa killed Baahubali. The film takes you into the past giving you an insight about Baahubali. ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ is a film that answers all the questions of the previous movie. ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ ended with Kattappa (Sathyaraj) confessing to Shiva (Prabhas) that he was the one who killed Amarendra Baahubali (also played by Parabas). While there are many who will tell you that the story makes this a brilliant film, we’ll tell you whether to watch it or not. The film is larger than life but it’s the story that gets on your nerves. ‘Baahubali 2’ was the much-awaited magnum opus for the year and with so much hype and fuss around the film, the anticipation the fans had was obvious. The basic issue with the film is that the first half is too far-fetched with an overdose of romance and unnecessary drama. Watching ‘Baahubali 2’ is like watching a stale film with grand sets, better VFXs, and royal history. After creating a decent first half, we wonder what exactly went wrong during the second half of the film.

Just after watching ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, you try to make yourself believe that there was at least something good about the film.
